Franklin Media Australia started as an exercise in self-education. It was an exercise in learning how to build a website that lead to a rabbit warren.
We know form experience that rabbit warren is one of the greatest challenges anyone faces when learning something new. It’s knowing where to start, what questions to ask and how to direct our education. A single Google Search for “How to…” returns almost 21 billion results.
We know from experience that finding good information is often the hardest thing. Everyone has an opinion and a these days they also have a platform and often an agenda.
We’re no different. Our agenda is simple:
We want to be good at what we do. We want to be recognised as being good at what we do. Not because we want recognition but because when you see our work you have no doubt about the quality.
Our mission is to increase the economic intelligence and prosperity of humanity. One of the failures of traditional education is that it rarely teaches people how to combine a variety of skills and knowledge into a profitable enterprise. All it does is prepare us to work in other peoples enterprises.
As a result we end up making other people rich.
At the core of our mission is a sound financial education. How money works and how to manage it in a way that increases prosperity is rarely taught to the average person. However, just knowing how money works isn’t enough. We have to apply the knowledge and combine it with a variety of other skills.
At its’ most basic, the economy is built on transactions between multiple parties. Goods and services flow from one place to the next in exchange for money or currency.
Economic intelligence is the understanding of how to develop skills that produce products and services that are valuable to the economy. We all participate in the economy, we buy things, some of us make products and others perform services.
One of the challenges of the modern economy is that it is experiencing a shift in the way business is done. There is a treasure trove of new technology available to create enterprises that have the potential to lift billions of people out of poverty and move all of humankind forward.
That is what Franklin Media Australia aims to do. Produce resources, work on projects and partner with other businesses to educate people how to use new technology and new ideas about how to improve their lives.
